Motivated employees with a high level of confidence in the management

Date

The employees of the Riksbank are highly satisfied with their situation at work and are motivated. This is revealed by an employee survey recently conducted at the bank. A clear majority of the employees think that they have good opportunities to develop at work and that their knowledge and skills are put to good use.

Confidence in line managers and the senior management is high. As in the previous survey, nine out of ten employees state that they have confidence in the Governor of the Riksbank, Stefan Ingves.

Areas where improvements can be made include developing more efficient work routines at the divisional level and a better division of labour.

94 per cent of the employees took part in the survey which, for the fourth time in a row, shows that the employees think that the Riksbank is a very good place to work.

“It is very positive that we continue to have a high level of participation in our employee survey, which indicates that we have committed employees. This year too, we now have a good basis on which to continue working to maintain these good results and develop the Riksbank as a workplace,” say Maria Wahl, head of the Personnel Division.

The departments and divisions will now discuss the results and continue working on the areas that need to be developed.

How the survey was conducted

The Riksbank conducts an employee survey every other year to identify areas for improvement in the working environment. The 2011 employee survey was carried out in the form of a web-based questionnaire completed in April/May. The survey was conducted by CMA Research.
