ECB publishes convergence report

Date

The European Central Bank (ECB) today published a report on economic and legal convergence in the following EU member states: the Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Sweden. The Treaty requires that such reports be prepared every second year for member states that have been granted a derogation from participating in the monetary union.

The report can be downloaded from the ECB’s website, www.ecb.int. A Swedish translation of the report’s Introduction and executive summary, Examination of economic convergence: Sweden and Compatibility of national legislation with the Treaty: Sweden, can also be found on the ECB’s website. It will also be available shortly on the Riksbank’s website, www.riksbank.se.
