The Riksbank in Almedalen
Date
18/06/2014
On Friday 4 July, First Deputy Governor Kerstin af Jochnick and Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley will each take part in a seminar in Almedalen. The idea is to stimulate dialogue between the Riksbank and politicians, pundits and people who shape and influence public opinion. This is the first time the Riksbank will participate in Almedalen Week in Visby.
Kerstin af Jochnick will take part in a panel discussion entitled "Should we worry about household debt?", arranged by Veidekke, a major construction and property development company. The panel will discuss issues such as how serious a risk household indebtedness is to the economy and what is meant by a "sound amortisation culture".
Under the heading "Is the Riksbank's toolbox adapted to the new jobs in the service sector?", Cecilia Skingsley will participate in a panel discussion arranged by Almega, the employer and trade organisation for the Swedish service sector, that will discuss the link between the Riksbank's work and developments on the labour market.
