The motif, which shows King Carl XVI Gustaf's motto "För Sverige i tiden" ("For Sweden - With the times"), the text "Sveriges konung i 40 år" ("King of Sweden for 40 years"), a royal crown and the King's monogram, is on the reverse of the 1-krona coin. The obverse (the portrait of the King) is unchanged. In total, five million 1-krona coins have been minted.
