New statistics on Swedish issues of securities

The Riksbank has assigned Statistics Sweden to report new statistics on all Swedish issuers of securities. As of today, Statistics Sweden will publish figures on newly-issued securities each month. Among other information, these statistics will include details of amounts issued by currency, maturity and interest-rate conditions. These statistics are aimed at providing a comprehensive view of the various market players' issues of securities in Sweden and abroad. The figures will be published by sector, including the public sector, banks, mortgage institutions, non-financial companies and others.

 

These statistics are used by the Riksbank in its monetary policy and financial stability work. The statistics will also be shared with a corresponding database of the EU countries' securities statistics managed by the ECB. Statistics Sweden will also use the statistics from the securities database to produce balance of payments statistics, financial market statistics, the Financial Accounts and other statistics.
