Professor Harry Flam will publish the findings of the commission of inquiry on the Riksbank's financial independence and balance sheet today. The inquiry has been submitted to Peter Norman, the Minister for Financial Markets.
The government decided to appoint a commission of inquiry on the Riksbank's balance sheet in 2011. Professor Harry Flam was given the task of reviewing how the experience of the financial crisis has affected the view of the Riksbank's balance sheet. This relates, for example, to the size and funding of the foreign exchange reserve and the size of the Riksbank's capital.
