Ann-Leena Mikiver new Director of Communications

The Riksbank has appointed Ann-Leena Mikiver new Director of Communications. She succeeds Pernilla Meyersson, who has been appointed Alternate Executive Director for the Nordic-Baltic constituency of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

She comes to the Riksbank from the post of Director of media relations at AstraZeneca. Her previous posts have included Head of internal Communications at TeliaSonera, various posts at Nordea such as Head of media relations and Director of Communications, and as financial journalist at Direkt news agency and the magazines Veckans Affärer and Privata Affärer. At the start of her career she also worked for some years at the Swedish Government Offices. She has a degree in social sciences, specialising in economics.

Ann-Leena Mikiver will take up her post at the Riksbank in February 2013.
