The Riksbank’s commission of inquiry into risks on the Swedish housing market

Date

The findings of the Riksbank’s commission of inquiry into risks on the Swedish housing market were published on Tuesday 5 April. The inquiry has produced a total of 12 reports written both by economists at the Riksbank and external researchers from Sweden and abroad.

In February last year, the Executive Board of the Riksbank decided to appoint a commission of inquiry into the risks on the Swedish housing market. The commission was assigned to examine several areas, including the risks associated with rising house prices and increasing household indebtedness.

The work has been led by Per Jansson, Head of the Monetary Policy Department, and Mattias Persson, Head of the Financial Stability Department.
