The Riksbank visits the Bank of Finland

In connection with the “Landmark Year of 1809”, the General Council and Executive Board of the Riksbank will visit the Bank of Finland on 3-4 February.

The 2009 version of the Swedish 1-krona coin, which has a special design commemorating the Landmark Year, will be presented by Chairman of the General Council Johan Gernandt and by designer Annie Winblad-Jakubowski. Johan Gernandt will present a specimen coin to the Chairman of the Bank of Finland's Parliamentary Supervisory Council, Timo Kalli.

The programme also includes a historical outline of the events in 1809 given by Professor Matti Klinge and a talk on the transition from the Riksbank to the Bank of Finland by Dr Juha Tarkka.

This event will take place at the Bank of Finland in Helsinki.
