Governor Stefan Ingves presents a prize for the best design of a commemorative coin to be issued in 2008.

On Thursday, 15 November, Governor of the Riksbank Stefan Ingves will present a prize to the designer of the commemorative coin to be issued in 2008 to mark the anniversary of the birth of Selma Lagerlöf.


Seven students from the Royal University College of Fine Arts have been invited by AB Myntverket to present sketches for the design of a commemorative coin. All of the proposed designs will be exhibited at the Royal Coin Cabinet on Thursday 15 November 2007 from 3 p.m. The prize will be awarded to the winner at around 4.10 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the Royal Coin Cabinet, Slottsbacken 6, Stockholm. Members of the press are welcome to view the ceremony.

The sketches of the winning design will be published in connection with the prize ceremony on Thursday.
