Skingsley: The Economic Situation
On Thursday, Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley visited Nyköping, where she gave a presentation at Nyköping's theatre to representatives from the region. Ms Skingsley described the current economic situation and the recent repo-rate decision and talked about her views on monetary policy. She also visited the port of Oxelösund.
When the Monetary Policy Reports are published in the spring and autumn, members of the Executive Board visit different areas in Sweden and present the conclusions of the monetary policy decisions. The members then give presentations and meet representatives of the business sector, local government, media and higher education institutions in the area.
