Skingsley: The economic situation
On Wednesday, Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley visited Luleå, where she gave a presentation at Kulturens hus. Ms Skingsley described the current economic situation and the recent repo-rate decision and talked about her views on monetary policy. Ms Skingsley also visited SSAB, gave a presentation at a breakfast meeting organised by Swedbank, and took part in a lunch together with representatives of the local business sector.
When the Monetary Policy Reports are published in the spring and autumn, members of the Executive Board visit different areas in Sweden and present the conclusions of the monetary policy decision. The members then hold speeches and meet representatives of the business sector, local government, media and higher education in the area.
