Flodén: The role of the Riksbank and the economic situation
Deputy Governor Martin Flodén today visits Östersund, where among other things he will hold a presentation at Mid Sweden University. During his presentation Mr Flodén describes the role of the Riksbank in the economy, the economic situation and the recent repo-rate decision. Mr Flodén is also visiting local companies and taking part in a lunch with representatives of the local business sector, local government and the university. The day's programme was organised by the Mid Sweden Chamber of Commerce.
When the Monetary Policy Reports are published in the spring and autumn, members of the Executive Board visit different areas in Sweden and present the conclusions of the monetary policy decision. The members then hold speeches and meet representatives of the business sector, local government, media and colleges in the area.
