Heidi Elmér new head of the Markets Department

Heidi Elmér's most recent position was chief economist at Skandia. Prior to that, she was head of the Market Analysis and Operations Division at the Riksbank. Her previous posts include head of the fixed income division at Handelsbanken Kapitalförvaltning. Ms Elmér has an economics degree and has studied on the doctoral programme at the Stockholm School of Economics.

The Markets Department (AFM) is responsible for the Riksbank's activities on the financial markets by working with the Riksbank's capital management, the operational implementation of monetary policy and exchange rate policy decisions, and ongoing market monitoring.
