On 14 December the Riksbank offers new SEK loans (3 and 12 months)

On the 20 October 2008 the Riksbank introduced a programme of recurrent auctions in order to offer SEK loans to the monetary counterparties. On the 13 February 2009, the Riksbank announced that in the future the loans will be offered with a variable interest rate and at longer maturities. On the 7 May the Riksbank decided to offer also SEK loans with twelve months maturity.

 

The 41st and 42nd credit under the new program will be provided in auctions held on 14 December and will comprise SEK 25 billion in the 3-month auction and 25 billion in the 12-month auction. The loans term to maturity is 84 respective 336 days, which means that the loans will fall due on 10 March 2010 respectively on 17 November 2010. The minimum interest rate will correspond to the average repo rate during the maturity of the loan with a supplement of 0.25 percentage points in the 3-month auction, and a supplement of 0.30 percentage points in the 12 month-auction.

 

Next auction of SEK loans, with 3 respective 6 months term to maturity, will take place on 28 December.
