Date
15/08/2007
The Riksbank is publishing The Swedish Financial Market 2007 today. The publication describes the Swedish financial market and how it functions on the basis of a broad compilation of statistics for the financial sector.
The intention is that this publication can function as a kind of "reference book” for those who are in need of statistics and as a simple textbook for those wishing to learn more about how the financial system works in Sweden. This means that it aims to reach a broad readership, including professional agents, students and the general public.
The Swedish Financial Market 2007 describes how the trade in the fixed income, foreign exchange and stock markets functions, as well as what products are traded in these markets and what marketplaces are available. It also describes important financial institutions, such as banks, insurance companies and mutual fund companies. In addition, there is a chapter devoted to describing the systems needed to be able to implement payments. The statistics in the publication have been compiled on an annual basis and provide a broad survey of developments in the financial market.
The publication can be downloaded from the Riksbank’s website, www.riksbank.se , or ordered via e-mail, kontorsservicecenter@riksbank.se , fax +46-8-787 0526 or telephone +46-8-787 0000.
As of 23 August it can also be collected at the main entrance to the Riksbank, at Brunkebergstorg 11.
