At its meeting on 31 January, the Executive Board of the Riksbank decided that in 2008 a commemorative coin would be issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Selma Lagerlöf. The coin will be issued in silver with the denomination SEK 200 and in gold with the denomination SEK 2,000.
The design of the commemorative coins will be determined by the General Council. The editions, the sales price and the final timetable for issuing the commemorative coin will be set by the Executive Board no later than the first quarter of 2008.
