Inauguration of Tumba Bruk museum on 4 June

The Tumba Bruk museum will be inaugurated tomorrow, Saturday, 4 June 2005 at 12 noon. The museum has been established on the initiative of Sveriges Riksbank and will be run by the Royal Coin Cabinet. Riksbank Governor Lars Heikensten will lead the inauguration. The Tumba Bruk museum is being inaugurated as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Tumba Bruk. The museum will display Tumba Bruk's history since 1755, the Riksbank’s banknote history and paper manufacture at Tumba Bruk. There will also be a sculpture exhibition in the park – ”Vid regnbågens slut” (at the end of the rainbow). The Riksbank is issuing a commemorative banknote in the denomination 100 kronor to celebrate the 250th anniversary. The note, which is on sale at SEK 150, can be bought on the Riksbank’s website, www.riksbank.se , and from the Royal Coin Cabinet. The Swedish Post Office’s commemorative stamp of 15 kronor, containing the motif from the commemorative banknote, will be on sale at the museum in connection with the inauguration on a unique commemorative letter.
