Executive Board to visit Jämtland

The Executive Board of the Riksbank will visit Jämtland county 7-8 April. The Board will hold a meeting in Östersund and make some study visits in the region.

A visit will be made to Trångsviken, just outside of Östersund, including local trade and industry. A meeting with the press will be arranged at Trångsviken community centre (bygdegård) on Friday, 8 April, at 10 a.m. Governor Lars Heikensten and other members of the Executive Board will respond to questions regarding their visit to Jämtland and will discuss economic developments.

In recent years the Riksbank has located some of its meetings outside of Stockholm. The purpose of this is to give greater opportunity to discuss economic developments with representatives of various sectors and regions in the country, as well as to obtain views on the Riksbank's activities.

The Executive Board of the Riksbank is comprised of Governor Lars Heikensten, First Deputy Governor Eva Srejber and deputy governors Villy Bergström, Lars Nyberg, Irma Rosenberg and Kristina Persson.
