Financial Market Statistics

The Riksbank usually publishes financial market statistics on the 15th and 30th day respectively after the end of the month. As notified earlier, the reporting for 2002 has been delayed and the latest statistics cover the period up to October. Statistics up to November are available for some series. From April 2003 Statistics Sweden (SCB) will take over the production and publishing of the financial market statistics. The timetable for publication of statistics in the coming months is as follows: week 7 for November statistics, week 10 for December, week 13 for January and week 16 for February.

As the financial markets need to gain access to the statistics as soon as possible, a decision has been taken to publish preliminary statistics for figures up to December that have not yet undergone the normal examination, but have been adjusted for statistics not yet received.

This means that the statistics will very probably be revised. The Riksbank nevertheless assesses that the quality of the statistics is sufficient to provide a good picture of the development of essential monetary aggregates.
