Tor Jacobson new Head of Research Department

At its meeting on Wednesday, 4 December, the Executive Board of the Riksbank appointed Tor Jacobson the new Head of the Research Department. He succeeds Anders Vredin, who will take up the post of Head of the Monetary Policy Department from 1 January.

Tor Jacobson is an associate professor in statistics and has worked at the Riksbank since 1997; he is currently employed in the Research Department. Mr Jacobson has previously worked at Uppsala University and at the Stockholm School of Economics.
