Sven Hulterström comments on Kerstin Hessius' decision

Kerstin Hessius has informed me today that she is not available for reappointment to the Riksbank’s Executive Board when her term of office expires at the turn of this year.

 

The process in the General Council of appointing a new member of the Executive Board as of 1 January 2001 now commences. As stipulated in the Riksbank Act, this member is to be appointed for a term of six years. The decision will be made at the latest at the meeting of the General Council on 8 December.
