Per Jansson new deputy head of Economics Department

The Executive Board of the Riksbank appointed on 24 February Per Jansson deputy head of the Economics Department as of the 1st of April 2000.


Per Jansson, who is doctor of philosophy, has headed the division of Macroeconomic Analysis of the Economics Department at the Riksbank since 1996. He has previously been a researcher at the Trade Union Institute for Economic Research (FIEF) and the National Institute of Economic Research (KI). During 1995 and 1996 he was also the secretary of the Economic Council of Sweden and consultant at the Riksbank.


Per Jansson succeeds Hans Lindberg, who is leaving the Riksbank to be deputy general director at the National Institute of Economic Research.
