Christina Lindenius new head of Monetary & Exchange Rate Policy Department

Today the Riksbank has appointed Christina Lindenius to be head of the Monetary & Exchange Rate Policy Department, where she has been deputy head since 1995. She succeeds Richard Gröttheim, who is leaving the Riksbank to be Vice President of the Seventh Fund Board of the National Swedish Pension Fund.

 

Christina Lindenius has been on the staff of the Riksbank since 1988 and was previously a head of division at the Economics Department. During 1994 she worked on behalf of the Riksbank at the European Commission in Brussels.

 

Ms. Lindenius, who has a degree in economics, will take charge of the Monetary & Exchange Rate Policy Department from 1 February.
