Sven Hulterström elected Chairman of Governing Board

At today's statutory meeting, Mr. Sven Hulterström was elected Chairman of the Governing Board that is to take up office in January 1999. Mr. Johan Gernandt was elected Vice Chairman.

The incoming Governing Board is preparing the choice of members of the Riksbank's new Executive Board, in order to appoint them at its next meeting on 21 December 1998.
