"One result of the financial crisis is that the IMF needs more money. At the same time, there is increased pressure to give emerging markets more influence within the IMF. This must not be done, however, at the expense of the smaller European countries by reducing their influence. It is important to ensure that both of these issues are dealt with in a reasonable way in the period ahead," writes the Governor of the Riksbank, Stefan Ingves, in an Economic Commentary.
