Anders Vredin leaves the Riksbank to head up SNS

Anders Vredin, Head of the Monetary Policy Department, has today been appointed the new Head of the Swedish Centre for Business and Policy Studies, SNS. He will take up his new post on 15 January. Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department Jesper Hansson has been appointed to lead the work in the Monetary Policy Department with effect from today and until a new head of department has been recruited and appointed.

“Anders Vredin has been a driving force at the Riksbank in developing the forecasting work and the work process around the monetary policy decisions. I and the rest of the Executive Board wish him well in his continued work as head of the SNS. Now we will begin our work on recruiting a successor who can take over as head of the monetary policy work at the Riksbank,” says Governor Stefan Ingves.
