Today’s issue of Riksbank Certificates has been completed
Date
21/10/2008
Starting on 14 October 2008, the Riksbank is issuing Riksbank Certificates with a maturity of seven days to its monetary policy counterparties. The issues are made at the repo rate and replace the monetary policy repo because the banking system currently has a liquidity surplus. This surplus is a consequence of the extra loans with maturities of 3 and 6 months that have been provided during October for the Riksbank’s monetary policy counterparties.
Today’s issue of Riksbank Certificates has been completed. The announced volume of the issue was SEK 177 billion at the repo rate, 4.25 per cent. The Riksbank’s monetary policy counterparties submitted bids totalling SEK 74.2 billion and accordingly obtained full allocations, that is, 100 per cent.
The terms for the issue on 21 October are presented in the documentation below.
