Press conference on IMF assessment of Swedish economy

On Thursday, 29 September, a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, IMF, will complete its annual visit to Sweden. The visit forms part of the review of the economic situation that the IMF regularly carries out for each member country, a so-called Article IV consultation.

The delegation has met, among others, representatives of the Riksbank, the Ministry of Finance, Swedish banks, the National Institute of Economic Research, the Swedish National Debt Office, Finansinspektionen and the social partners.

At the press meeting, the leader of the delegation for the Article IV consultation, Craig Beaumont, will present the delegation's view of the Swedish economy. Craig Beaumont will also be available to answer questions after the presentation. Also attending the press conference will be Martin Cihak, who has been responsible for the IMF review of the Swedish financial sector (FSAP) made earlier this year.

The press conference will be held on Thursday, 29 September and begin at 11 a.m. Entry via Brunkebergstorg 11. Press cards or equivalent must be shown.

The IMF's statement on the Swedish economy will be published on Thursday 29 September at 9 a.m. on the Riksbank's website, http://www.riksbank.se/ and will be available at the press conference.
