A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has now completed its assessment of the Swedish financial sector. The IMF delegation presents its views on financial stability in Sweden and on the work in this field by public authorities in a press release (link). A full report will be discussed by the IMF board meeting in November 2016 and published thereafter.
At the end of September, in connection with the conclusion of the IMF's annual review of the economic situation in Sweden, what is known as an Article IV consultation, those responsible for the review will take part in a press conference at the Riksbank.
The IMF was invited by the Swedish Ministry of Finance and the Riksbank to visit Sweden in 2016 to make a special assessment of the financial sector, what is known as a Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) (link).
