The Riksbank organises a workshop on big data

The supply of data has increased substantially in recent years. Large amounts of data, ranging from Internet searches to transactions on financial markets, are automatically stored in databases. What possibilities do these large databases create for economic analyses?

On 9 September, the Riksbank is arranging a workshop on the theme "Big data: Building data strategies for central banks in light of the data revolution". Economists, researchers and statisticians from other authorities, central banks and private sector actors have been invited to this workshop to share their knowledge and experiences surrounding the possibilities of big data.
