Jesper Lindé new Head of Research at the Riksbank

Jesper Linde, photo.Jesper Lindé has been appointed as the new Head of Research at the Riksbank. Mr Lindé succeeds Tor Jacobson, who will become Senior Adviser and continue to work with research and policy support at the Riksbank.

 

Jesper Lindé holds a Ph.D. in economics and is currently a section chief at the Division of International Finance, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Washington D.C. Among other previous posts he has worked at the Riksbank as a researcher at the Research Department and as Head of the Modelling Division of the Monetary Policy Department.

 

"We are glad that Jesper is returning to the Riksbank. He is an extremely competent researcher and economist with a strong interest in policy issues. After five years at the Federal Reserve he has also extended his already wide network of contacts", says Marianne Nessén, Head of the Monetary Policy Department which includes the Research Division.

 

Mr Lindé will take up his post as Head of the Research Division at the Riksbank on 1 August 2014.
