Governor Stefan Ingves has been granted an extended mandate until June 2017 as chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision by the Group of Governors and Heads of Supervision (GHOS).
The Basel Committee draws up international regulations for banks. The most recent example is the Basel III Accord.
