Christina Wejshammar new head of the Cash and Payment Systems Department

The Executive Board of the Riksbank has appointed Christina Wejshammar head of the Cash and Payment Systems Department.

Photo: Petter Karlberg/Karlberg Media, Sandra Birgersdotter Christina Wejshammar begin working at the Riksbank in 2003 as legal counsel but has since 2008 been head of the Banknotes & Coins Division. She has been acting head of the Cash and Payment Systems Department since it was formed on 1 March 2014. Christina Wejshammar will take up her new post on 7 April 2014.

The Cash and Payment Systems Department is responsible for the day-to-day work on banknotes and coins, the RIX payment system and for coordinating crisis preparedness in the central payment system.
