The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2013 to Eugene F. Fama, Lars Peter Hansen, both of the University of Chicago, and Robert J. Shiller, of Yale University. The prize was awarded to them jointly "for their empirical analysis of asset prices".
